Get a taste of authentic Italy in London with the

‘Deliziando Italia' Food Festival at the Melia White House hotel

From next week (19th April), Londoners will be able to experience a taste of Italy when London's first Deliziando Italia food festival will arrive at the Melia White House hotel.

 

The Melia White House, located just north of Oxford Street, will host the gastronomic food festival, where hotel guests and members of the public will be able to enjoy the delights of the Emilia-Romagna region in Northeast Italy.

 

"Think fruity olive oils, prosciutto and delicious culatello," says Gioele Camarlinghi, general manager at the Melia White House, "Not to mention an array of pastas, such as macaroni, lasagne, tortellini, cannelloni, pappardelle and tagliatelle, all being showcased by chefs from the region."

 

The festival kicks off with a Pasta Party launch event from 6pm - 9pm on 19th April featuring exhibitors from the region hosting cooking demonstrations and wine pairings with trained sommeliers. Open to the public, the event will feature chefs from the Emilio-Romagna region cooking various pastas in a fun, interactive environment with wine pairings to bring out each dish's unique flavours.

 

"It's an open event so we look forward to extending our Mediterranean hospitality and welcoming guests and Londoners to the Melia White House hotel," continues Camarlinghi.

 

"Just drop in any time after 6pm to taste some delicious hand-made pastas and sauces for an evening you won't soon forget and believe me, your taste buds will thank you for it!" 

 

Following the Pasta Party launch event on the 19th, until 29th April, visitors to the Melia White House will be able to experience themed menus throughout the hotel's various restaurants and bars. Visitors can explore the traditional flavours of food and wine from the region with the likes of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Modena Balsamic vinegar and the famous mortadella with pistachio from Bologna.

 

There are plenty of delicious vegetarian options too, all bursting with unique Italian flavours.
